Privacy Policy

Solmari ("the app," "we," "us") is built on a simple principle: your conversations are yours. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

• Solmari does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.
• All AI processing happens on your device.
• There is no account, no sign-in, and no tracking.
• Your chats, documents, voice input, and images never leave your iPhone.

Information we collect

None. Solmari does not require an account and does not collect personal information. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers, and we have no servers that receive your content.

Your content stays on your device

• Conversations & documents. Everything you type, and any documents you attach, are stored only on your device and processed locally by the on-device AI model. They are never uploaded.
• Voice input. If you use voice input, audio is transcribed on your device. Recordings and transcripts are not sent anywhere.
• Images. Images you attach are processed on your device and are not uploaded.

On-device AI — no third-party AI service

All of Solmari's intelligence runs on your device. Depending on your device, Solmari uses Apple's built-in on-device foundation models and/or an open-source model (such as Google's Gemma or Alibaba's Qwen) that runs locally on your hardware. Your messages, prompts, documents, and notes are processed entirely on-device.

Solmari does not send your conversations, prompts, or any personal data to any third-party AI service, cloud AI provider, or external server — ever. There is no remote model, no cloud fallback, and no backend that receives your content. No permission to share data is needed because no data is shared.

Network use

Solmari is designed to run offline. The app connects to the internet only to download the on-device AI model on first launch (on devices that need it). This is a one-time download of public model files (weights) from a content delivery network (Hugging Face); the request transmits no personal data or conversations — it only fetches the model file. After the model is downloaded, the app functions with no internet connection.

Permissions

• Microphone — used only to capture your voice for on-device transcription. Audio never leaves your device.
• Photos — used only to let you attach an image to a chat for on-device understanding. Images never leave your device.
• Notifications — used only to let you know, on your device, when the AI model has finished downloading. We do not send remote/marketing push notifications.

You can change these permissions any time in the iOS Settings app.

Children's privacy

Solmari does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. As with any AI tool, output may not be suitable for all ages; we recommend adult supervision for younger users.

Data retention & deletion

Because your data lives only on your device, you are in full control of it. Deleting a conversation removes it from your device. Deleting the app removes all of its data, including the downloaded model.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
